Popularity and Success of $50 ‘Monthly Unlimited' Prepaid Plan Prompts Retail Expansion
IRVINE, Calif. – Boost Mobile, the prepaid division of Sprint (NYSE: S), today announced plans to open 50 exclusive retail stores, expanding its direct retail presence to major metropolitan areas nationwide. Boost Mobile kicked off its national retail expansion on May 8 with the opening of an exclusive retail store in Philadelphia. Nine additional retail locations are scheduled to open in cities across the U.S. in the first half of 2009, followed by an additional 40 locations by year end.
Cities to welcome Boost Mobile Exclusive Retail Stores in the first half of the year include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Orlando and Philadelphia. In the second half of 2009, consumers will be able to visit Boost Mobile Exclusive Retail Stores in Charlotte, Columbus, Las Vegas, Minneapolis and San Francisco.
Offering a complete handset line-up, including accessory items, the Boost Mobile Exclusive Retail Stores will enable the company to more fully interact with consumers by offering a unique, Boost Mobile-branded shopping experience.
