IRVINE, Calif. – November 21, 2006 – The burden of flagging down a taxi, or attempting to find a local cab company’s phone number are over starting today for Boost Mobile® customers. By simply dialing #TAXI® (#-8-2-9-4) on any Boost phone, callers will be connected to the first available taxicab company in their local calling area, or the cab company of their choice. The service also will recommend a taxi company when callers don’t know the name of one.

#TAXI is available now to all Boost Mobile customers, marking the first time a U.S. wireless provider has offered the application as part of its service portfolio. Calls to #TAXI will cost $1.29, plus airtime, and will be automatically deducted from a Boost customer’s pay-as-you-go account.
