Boost Mobile Expands Retail Distribution of its No Contract Cell Phones and Service to College Campuses Nationwide
IRVINE, Calif. – For college students marking off their back-to-school checklists, a mobile phone can be one of the most important items. Having easy access to wireless products and services is important to college students. That’s why Boost Mobile has teamed up with Barnes & Noble College Booksellers to expand its retail distribution to offer two of its most popular handset models in select college bookstores nationwide. Beginning today, students can purchase the Motorola Clutch i465, Boost Mobile’s first-ever QWERTY handset, for $129.99 and the i776 for $99.99.
"Today, cell phones are such an integral part of a college student’s life that to be without one for even a day seems impossible," notes Jeff Auman, vice president, sales & distribution, Boost Mobile. "College students seeking an attractive phone with a no contract nationwide service plan may now look no further than their campus bookstore thanks to our partnership with Barnes & Noble College Booksellers."
Barnes & Noble College Booksellers serves over four million students and several dozen of the stores they operate will carry the Boost Mobile phones and Re-Boost cards. Boost Mobile is currently the only cellular provider sold in Barnes & Noble campus bookstores.
"This is a great addition to the Boost Mobile Re-Boost cards we’re currently offering at our stores," notes Marie Policastro, manager of partnership marketing at Barnes & Noble College Booksellers. "It makes the campus bookstore even more of a one-stop shop for students."
