Activity

  • The All Activity option shows the list off all incoming, missed, blocked, and calls sent to voicemail.
  • You may change the activity view by selecting the filter icon (top left corner).
  • You can filter by blocked calls, calls sent to voicemail and allowed calls

Manage

  • The Manage section in the app is where you can:
    • Add numbers to be blocked
    • Send numbers to voicemail
    • Add numbers to always ring through to your phone

Categories

  • The Categories section of the app gives you full control over which types of calls can ring through to your phone. When a category is enabled, calls from that category will be sent directly to voicemail.
  • Categories include:
    • Nuisance calls
    • Telemarketing calls
    • Survey calls
    • Political calls
    • Charity calls
    • Prison/jail calls

How do I add a number to my block list?

  • To manually add a number to your block list, select the Manage icon and select Block, if not already selected.
  • Select the + button located at the bottom right-hand corner and manually enter the 10-digit number you would like to block in the search box, select Search and the number will be added to your block list.
  • If the number is listed in your Recent activity, select the number and from the detail view screen select the Block number icon.

How do I unblock a number with Boost Call Screener?

  • To unblock a number that is listed in the All activity section, press and hold your finger on the number you would like to unblock. Then, select the Remove option from the menu that appears at the bottom of the screen.
  • To unblock a number from the Block list in the Manage section, press and hold your finger on the number you would like to unblock. Then, select the Remove option from the menu that appears at the bottom of the screen.
  • You may also unblock a number by tapping the number and selecting the highlighted Block number icon from the detail view screen.

Can Boost Call Screener block text messages?

  • Unfortunately, Boost Call Screener cannot block text messages. Boost Call Screener can only block calls or send calls to voicemail.

How do I know if I am blocking a number with Boost Call Screener?

  • A number has been blocked if the number appears in the activity screen of the app with a block icon next to it.
  • To view your history of blocked calls for a specific number, navigate to the activity screen, select the number; the detail view screen will show with a history of activity for that specific number.
  • To view all call blocking history, go to the activity screen, select the filter icon and select “Blocked calls” to view all calls that have been blocked.
  • If you have enabled your number blocking notification, you will receive a custom notification whenever a number has been blocked.

How do I block Restricted, Private, Unknown, or Anonymous calls?

  • Unfortunately, Boost Call Screener cannot block restricted, private, unknown, or anonymous calls.

How do I view my history of blocked calls?

  • To view your history of blocked calls, navigate to the All activity section in the app; select the filter icon and the “blocked calls” option.

How can I delete my blocked call history?

  • Unfortunately, the history of blocked calls cannot be deleted.

How do I add a number to my send to voicemail list?

  • To manually add a number to your block list, select the Manage icon and select Send to Voicemail, if not already selected
  • Select the + button located at the bottom right-hand corner and manually enter the 10-digit number you would like to send to voicemail in the search box, select Search and the number will be added to your send to voicemail list.
  • If the number is listed in your Recent activity, select the number and from the detail view screen select the Send to Voicemail icon.

How do I remove a number from my send to voicemail list?

  • If the number is listed in the All activity section, press and hold your finger on the number you would like to remove. Then, select the Remove option from the menu that appears at the bottom of the screen.
  • To remove from Send to voicemail list in the Manage section, press and hold your finger on the number you would like to remove. Then, select the Remove option from the menu that appears at the bottom of the screen.
  • You may also remove a number by tapping the number and selecting the highlighted Send to voicemail icon from the detail view screen.
    Once a number is removed from your send to voicemail list, they will be able to call your phone. However, a call may be sent to voicemail due to a setting in the Categories section.

How do I know Boost Call Screener is sending a call to voicemail?

  • A number has been sent to voicemail if the number appears in the activity screen of the app with a voicemail icon next to it.
  • To view your history of calls sent to a voicemail for a specific number, navigate to the activity screen, select the number; the detail view screen will show with a history of activity for that specific number.
  • To view all sent to voicemail history, go to the activity screen, select the filter icon and select “Calls sent to voicemail” to view all calls that have been sent to voicemail.

How do I manually add a number to my always allow list?

  • To manually add a number to your Always Allow list, select the Manage icon and select Always allow calls, if not already selected
  • Select the + button located at the bottom right-hand corner and manually enter the 10-digit number you would like always be allowed in the search box, select Search and the number will be added to your always allowed list.
  • If the number is listed in your Recent activity, select the number and from the detail view screen select the Always allow calls icon.

  • Once a number is removed from your always allow list, they may or may not be able to contact you. Calls may be sent to voicemail or blocked due to a setting in the Categories section.

How do I view my allowed call activity?

  • A number has been allowed if it appears in the All Activity screen with the always allow icon next to it.
  • To view your history of calls that have been allowed for a specific number, navigate to the activity screen, select the number; the detail view screen will show with a history of activity for that specific number.
  • To view the history of all always allowed calls, go to the activity screen, select the filter icon and select “Allowed calls” to view all calls that have been sent to voicemail.

How can I delete my history of allowed calls?

  • Unfortunately, the history of calls that were allowed cannot be deleted.

How do I lookup a number?

  • To manually lookup up a number, enter a 10-digit number in the input box at the top of the Activity screen; local results such as recent calls and contacts may appear progressively.
  • The result of the lookup will appear on the call detail screen where it may be viewed and managed.

Can Boost Call Screener lookup Private, Restricted, Unknown, or Anonymous callers?

  • Boost Call Screener is unable look up Private, Restricted, Unknown, or Anonymous callers if they are coming in without a phone number attached to them. There is currently no way to identify a caller without a valid, 10-digit phone number.

Why do certain numbers not display a name when I attempt a Number Lookup?

  • Some numbers have their information withheld by their carrier or owner. If name information is not available, Boost Call Screener will provide additional geographic information, when available.

How do I enable/disable notifications?

  • To enable or disable a notification setting, please select the toggle. If the toggle is Orange, the notification setting is enabled. If the toggle is White, the setting is disabled.

How do I copy my Device ID?

  • Your device ID can be copied by holding your finger on the screen over the device ID. Then, select Copy.

How do I view my account status?

  • To view the status of your account:
    • Select Settings within the app
    • Select My account

What is a report and how do I create one with Boost Call Screener?

  • Reports are a formal notice to a regulatory agency about an unwanted call from a telemarketer or collections. In the United States, they are sent to the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) DO NOT CALL registry.
  • To create a complaint from the Activity screen, select a number listed in any of the Activity views. From there, select Report caller.
  • Next, specify the type of complaint and select submit.

Why can't I cancel a report?

  • Reports are automatically submitted to the FTC once they are created, therefore, they cannot be canceled.

How can I view or cancel a Report?

  • Once submitted, reports cannot be reviewed or canceled.

How do I purchase a subscription to Boost Call Screener?

  • To subscribe to Boost Call Screener, select Settings within the app, select My Account, and select then Subscribe.

Why was I billed again?

  • All subscriptions will automatically renew until canceled. If you are having trouble with your subscription, send us an email by selecting the Submit a Request option found on our support page.

What is the cost of a subscription?

  • To view current subscription and payment options, please navigate to Settings and select My account.

How do I cancel my Boost Call Screener subscription?

  • To cancel your Boost Call Screener subscription, navigate to Settings and select My account. Select Unsubscribe, and confirm you would like to cancel, then select Unsubscribe from the pop up that appears.
  • If you decide not to Cancel your subscription, select Cancel.

How do I know when my next payment is due?

  • Your next payment is due when you pay your phone bill.

Will I be charged after the free trial is over?

  • The free trial automatically cancels once it is over. You will not be charged unless you choose to add a subscription by selecting Subscribe within the Boost Call Screener app or adding this service to your phone bill.
