Troubleshoot Mobile Data & Mobile Hotspot 




Make sure you’ve done the first steps here before continuing with any of the steps below. 

1. Check your data usage on your plan. You may need to use another device to reach my.boostmobile.com if your data allotment has been exhausted.

To check your data usage:

In the BoostOne app

  • Go to My Account My Account.
  • Tap My Usage

  • You can see how much mobile data and hotspot data you have remaining in your current billing cycle.

Online

  • Login to your account at my.boostmobile.com.

  • Scroll down on your Dashboard to My Usage

  • You’ll see a summary of how much data you’ve used and the number of days left in your billing cycle.

  • Tap View Usage for more detailed information. 

  • Tap Get More Data to purchase a One-Time Data Pack extra good for 30 days from the date of purchase or a Recurring Data Pack extra that will be added to your monthly payment until you cancel. More information about Data Packs.

Note: Paying your bill early will not refresh your data allocation.

2. Ensure your mobile data / cellular data is on.

On Samsung Android phones

  • Tap the Settings icon in the dropdown menu.

  • Tap Connections or Network Connections.

  • Tap Data Usage.

  • Make sure the Mobile data toggle is on.

On other Android phones

  • Tap the Settings icon from the dropdown menu at the top of your phone. 

  • Tap Internet or Mobile Network.

  • Tap the network name or the settings icon next to the network name.

  • Ensure the toggle for Mobile Data is on.

On iPhones

  • Select Settings from the drop down at the top of the screen.

  • Select Cellular.

  • Make sure the Cellular data toggle is on.

3. Clear your browser cache.

Chrome on Mobile

  • Open the Chrome browser on your phone. 
  • Tap the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the browser.

  • Tap Settings.

  • Tap Privacy and Security.

  • Tap Clear Browsing Data.

  • Choose the timeframe you want to clear from the dropdown menu.

  • Select the items you want to clear (Browsing history, Cached images and files, Cookies and site data). Clear the cached items at a minimum. 

  • Tap Clear Data.

Mobile Safari for iOS

To clear cache and cookies:

  • From the home screen, Select Settings then Safari.
  • At the bottom of Safari's settings screen, tap Clear History then Website Data.

  • Confirm when prompted.

To clear history:

  • From the home screen, tap Safari.
  • At the bottom of the screen, tap the Bookmarks icon.

  • At the top of the Bookmarks menu, tap the History icon.

  • In the lower right, tap Clear.

  • Select the timeframe you wish to clear.
