Troubleshoot issues related to data connectivity


This article helps you troubleshoot data connectivity issues on your Android phone.

You may have data connectivity issues if you're unable to:

  • Connect to the Internet
  • Browse websites
  • Send or receive multimedia messages
  • Load Internet content within applications
  • Send or receive email

These steps help identify and resolve the underlying cause. After completing each step, test to see if the issue is fixed. If not, continue to the next step. (Note: These are general tips for all Boost Mobile phones. For device-specific troubleshooting steps, visit our Device Support section and select your phone.)


Verify mobile data is enabled

To make sure mobile data is turned on, you will need to access your phone’s Settings Menu. Below are links to instructions for our most popular phones. If you don’t see your phone listed here, please visit our Device Support Page and select your phone.

Verify your phone is connected to the Boost Mobile data network using Boost Zone.

From the home screen, tap the All Apps icon, then tap Boost Zone.
  1. Swipe to the left to open Device Diagnostics.
  2. Look for Network:
  3. Network is in the Passed section: Your phone is connected to the Boost data network.
    1. Network is in the Failed or Flagged section: Update the Data Profile.
    2. From Device Diagnostics, tap Network.
      1. Tap Update Profile.
      2. After the update is complete, tap OK.

Reset your connection to the Boost Mobile network.
