For $7.00 per month you are covered if your phone is lost, stolen, accidentally
damaged - even with liquid, or has an out-of-warranty mechanical or electrical
breakdown. Boost Shield covers the battery and wall charger accessories included
with the original purchase of the technology.
Upon filing a claim, you will have to pay a nonrefundable deductible of $20, $50, $100 or $175 per approved claim based on your phone. You are eligible for 2 approved claims within a 12-month period beginning on the date of the first replacement. There is a per claim limit of $1,500 inclusive of accessories. Boost Shield customers with a smartphone have access to McAfeeTM Mobile Security. The app, once activated, will allow you to issue commands to locate, lock or wipe your smartphone if it becomes lost or stolen. You can also sound an alarm, even if the phone is in silent or vibrate mode. To get the app, you'll receive a text message shortly after you enroll in Boost Shield. Simply follow the instructions to download, register, and set it up. Availability and features may vary by device.
McAfee® Mobile Security guards your smartphone against viruses, malware, phishing, and other mobile threats. It also allows you to locate, lock, and wipe your personal data from a lost or stolen phone, and provides 2GB of backup for your contacts, photos and videos.

In order to get the premium version that is included with your Boost Shield phone protection, you must first un-install the McAfee® app currently running on your phone.

Boost Shield is only available to customers on a monthly plan within 30 days of service activation. You can add it during activation or by visiting My Account after you have activated your device. If you sign up when you buy your new phone or device, or bring you own newly/first-time activated on Boost Mobile device, your coverage will start immediately. If you enroll within 30 days after you activate your device, coverage will begin at the start of your next billing cycle. Please note that your handset must be fully operational at the time of program activation in order to enroll. *Newly/first-time activated: BYO (Bring Your Own) devices must not have been activated on the Boost Mobile network previously.
Boost Shield is available for new phones within 30 days of activation, for upgrades to a new phone within 30 days, for newly/first-time activated BYO (Bring Your Own) phones within 30 days of activation, or upon an equipment swap to a new phone within 30 days. *Newly/first-time activated: BYO devices must not have been activated on the Boost Mobile network previously.
Visit myphoneguardian.com/boostmobile 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to file a claim with Brightstar Device Protection (See Provider Information in brochure). You may also call 1-844-534-3099 from 6AM - 11PM CST, 7 days a week. You should be the primary account holder on the account and report the claim within 30 days of the incident, unless otherwise required by state law. If the approved claim involves a damaged or malfunctioning phone, you will be provided with detailed information on how to return the phone. If the phone is not returned within 10 days after receiving your replacement, you will be charged an unrecovered equipment fee up to $200.
Once your claim is approved, you have provided any necessary documentation, and have paid your deductible, your replacement phone will be shipped to an address of your choice. If the claim is approved, you have provided the necessary documents, and you have paid your deductible by 11pm CT Monday through Friday and Saturday 7:30pm CT, you may receive your device the next business day.
If you don't have enough money on your account to pay for both your service plan
and your Boost Shield, your service will become interrupted until you
successfully make a payment. That means you won't be able to use your phone and
will not have Boost Shield coverage until you make a payment that covers your
monthly payment amount and your Boost Shield premium.
For example, if you are a monthly plan customer who pays $45 a month and you also have Boost Shield for $7 a month, your monthly payment is $52. If you don't have $52 in your account when your monthly payment date arrives, your service will be interrupted and you will not have Boost Shield coverage.
You can cancel Boost Shield by visiting My Account at BoostMobile.com. If you cancel between monthly billing cycles, you will receive a prorated refund or credit for any unearned premium.
The program is a replacement program for customers of Boost Mobile provided by Brightstar Device Protection, LLC. The coverage is placed by Brightstar Agency, LLC, 2325 Lakeview Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30009 or PO Box 003, Alpharetta, GA 30009 and administered by Brightstar Device Protection, LLC (same address as above). The coverage is underwritten by Zurich American Insurance Company. Yes! Newly/first-time activated BYO (Bring Your Own) devices are eligible for Boost Shield protection provided they are not defective at time of enrollment and are enrolled in the protection program within the first 30 days of activation. *First-time activated: BYO devices must not have been activated on the Boost Mobile network previously.
